Breakfast at Lou's
We all went to breakfast this morning at Lou's Diner in Hanover. It's been a weekly tradition for us, and the babies have generally behaved great. Here are a couple of photos of our trip today. Sarah is trying to eat her spoon (great christmas present from Grandpa Mickey and Gandma Betsy!) and Lauren is waving something around in her hand.

joe's teaching evaluations are in!
Joe is way too modest so i'm going to share this with everyone. He got his teaching evaluations back for his Statistics class last quarter. His teaching evaluation was an amazing 5.91 (out of 6) in his first section, and 5.78 in his second. These are his two highest evaluations so far and are some of the highest for any core class at Tuck. We knew he was good, but how awesome is that!!!

Hi World! I'm Yogi Hall. My real name is Abelard's Bad Bear of Ioka...but I'll also answer to just YOGI.
Let me tell you a little about myself and what my most favorite things are:
I'm a very handsome, but 'big-boned' Golden Retreiver. I like dinner, tennis balls, walks in the woods, sleeping, eating soapy car-washing water, breakfast, guarding the back door, eating oysters, drinking out of the toilet bowl, strolling up to visit with the mail-lady for biscuits, swimming in Hood Canal, the hair dryer blowing in my face, lunch, getting extra treats from Hailey, all the extra food from the dinner table, and any human that comes my way and likes me (which is just about every person I meet). I especially like short people but they can be a little scared of me because of my size. In case I forget to mention ... my 2 most favorite things are eating and sleeping.
The elusive Stubbs, the cat, has finally been located. Here is what he has to say:
"Contrary to what other's might think (especially the d-o-g), I OWN this family. They bow to my every beck and call. I have Mickey wrapped around my little left claw. I must go now becaue I am completely bored with you all.
P.S. I kind of like that small human, Hailey. She's pretty nice, except when she's not"

Those left at Ioka

Although I would prefer to see pictures of the granddaughters, I thought I would post this picture of the part of the family that is still at Ioka. Mickey, Betsy, Yogi (the dog) and Stubs (the cat). Oh, bye the way, where is Stubs? He always seems to be slipping away. Well we'll catch a picture of him soon.

lauren & sarah at 8 mo old with their holiday hats
joe & i & babies went to simon pierce restaurant (in VT) for a very late lunch last friday and ran into nicole kidman & boyfriend (keith urban?). i've lived in LA for ~10 yrs and am used to seeing movie stars from time to time. no big deal. what was unusual & amusing about this instance is that she & boyfriend were staring at us! it's usually the other way around. ;-) i'm certain she was looking at us b/c of the babies. there were only ~ 10 people left in the dining area and everytime we glanced over in their direction, we noticed that they kept looking at us/sarah & lauren. her boyfriend's body was even turned so that he could look get a good look at us, which meant that she had to have said something to him. pretty funny. she probably has babies on her mind!!
